NSW State Wide Pairs
August 2014

The NSW State Wide Pairs runs for three sessions over three weeks, early in August.

Hands are provided together with a booklet, which features brief commentary on each deal for perusal at the completion of the session. The event is then scored across all participating clubs and session and overall winners determined.

Cash prizes are presented, as well as gift vouchers from the Bridge Shop and certificates for the winners in each club. Prizes are also awarded in the restricted divisions of Under 25, Under 50 and Under 100 masterpoints (as at 30th June 2014).

2014 Results

This year’s winners were Jane North and Helen Wilson from Dubbo Bridge Club with an amazing average score of 68.73 %. Jane and Helen finished in the top three placings in all three sessions. Congratulations on a great effort.

Second place went to Peter Donoghue and Suzanne Donoghue from Bega Valley Bridge Club. They averaged 64.94 %.

Third place went to Peter Tarlinton and Tom Carr from Dubbo Bridge Club with 63.88 %.

Cash prizes have been awarded down to fifth place.

Peter Larsen and Eileen Larsen (Dubbo Bridge Club) finished fourth with Louise Cregan and Helen Crisp (Goulburn Bridge Club), fifth.

There are significant changes to the State Wide Pairs in 2014 including a reduction in entry fee. Details are provided in the invitation letter to clubs - see below.
