2008 Grand National Pairs (GNP)
National Final
In 2008, the ABF will inaugurate a brand new pairs tournament, the Grand
National Pairs Championship of Australia (GNP). The GNP will be played as
match-pointed pairs. The GNP is open to players who have not achieved Life
Master status as at 1 January 2008.
The National Final of the Grand National Pairs will be held at the National
Convention Centre Canberra, January 17-18, 2009. More details about the final
can be found on the ABF website at www.abf.com.au/events/gnp/
Enquiries from clubs outside the Sydney Metropolitan region should be directed
to the relevant regional co-ordinator whose details can be found on the ABF
website.
Sydney Metropolitan Qualifying
All clubs in the Sydney metropolitan region have been invited to conduct
sessions to qualify pairs to the Metropolitan Final. The number of pairs that
will qualify from the Metropolitan Final to the National Final will depend on
the size of the field as follows:
