The Australian National Championships (ANC), which are held in July every year, include a prestigious interstate teams competition. Each state and territory hosts the ANC in turn. This year it will be held in Perth, while in 2024 it goes regional for the very first time - New South Wales will host the event in Orange!

The NSWBA runs selection events to choose 4 teams to represent our state at the ANC - the Open, Seniors, Women's and Youth teams. 

The Open selection began with high level Monday Night competitions and concluded with a face-to-face weekend final. After all of that, we congratulate:

Tomer Libman - Lavy Libman

The Women's Interstate Teams Selection (WITS) will be held face-to-face at the NSWBA, from 31st March to 2nd April. The Seniors ITS will also be held face-to-face at the NSWBA, from 21st - 23rd April. Please find the details and enter via MyABF.

Our efforts to sponsor the Wednesday youth night seems to be paying off, with new faces in the youth group, supported by their schools and parents! The NSWBA is planning to run a Youth Trial by end of April.

Here's something of special interest to youth players - the Illawarra Congress on 17th - 18th June. Both the NSWBA and the Illawarra Bridge Association are supporting youth participation in the congress, by sharing the major sponsorships. Please contact Nico Ranson if you are in the right age group or have a family member who is interested in playing.

The NSWBA Tournament Calendar now allows you to filter the list of congresses so that you can see which are face-to-face and which are online - the online congresses can be filtered by platform.
